This was such a strange and unsettling read in the best way. From the beginning there’s this eerie tone that slowly builds, and I found myself really drawn into the atmosphere and the sense that something wasn’t quite right.

Advance Reader

Taut, atmospheric, and emotionally resonant, Latchkey Lost stands out as a thoughtful blend of genre and heart. It’s a compelling read for those who appreciate stories where growing up is just as unsettling—and transformative—as the things that go bump in the night.

Court Zierk

Author

Court Zierk started writing as soon as he could pick up a crayon. For much of his life, he channeled that creative energy into writing song lyrics, as he attempted to become a world-famous rapper. It wasn’t until he realized that dream had come and gone that he turned his attention to writing novels.  Latchkey Lost, published in 2026, is his debut novel, and it explores many of the themes that you will find to be prevalent in all his books; love, loss, loneliness, and belonging. He was born, raised, and still lives in Denver, Colorado. He wants to be a writer when he grows up.
